Voter Information Available At Library

Voters in Colorado and Larimer County face a vast array of issues and candidates this election season. In partnership with the League of Women Voters, the Estes Park Public Library is offering resources to help voters navigate a complex ballot.

The League’s “Ballot Issues 2008” booklets are available to pick up at the Library. These free booklets contain the major provisions and the “pro and con” points for the statewide issues facing voters.
These booklets may also be accessed online. In addition, the State of Colorado “blue books” contain the full text of the initiatives and referenda. Finally, Larimer County offers a sample ballot online. Links to all of these resources are on the library’s web site at  Click the “Research” tab and see the links under “Election Fever 2008.”

The Library has also assembled a clippings notebook containing a variety of newspaper articles and editorials that elaborate on the issues before voters. The notebook is available for patrons to peruse and study in the library.

For general questions about the voting process, the statewide offices of the League of Women Voters may be reached at 303-863-8683.
