Volunteers Needed To Help Clean Up Flood Debris This Saturday

Clean up on Elkhorn Avenue begins.

On Saturday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Volunteers of America in conjunction with Rocky Mountain Church and Metro Volunteers will be cleaning up debris in the Estes Park area. Volunteers are needed to assist with the project. The project consist of cutting up large debris, clearing river debris and helping residents begin the rebuilding process.

Safety equipment such as gloves, goggles and masks will be provided. Volunteers are asked to wear sturdy waterproof boots, warm layers, a hat and thick socks. If available, heavy equipment is also needed, such as; Bobcats, skid steers, backhoes, trucks and trailers, dump trucks and chainsaws. Ages 16 and up are welcome with adult supervision.
