Victim Advocates Extends Thanks For Ladies Pool Tournament

Dear Editor

It has been an active and energetic April for the staff and volunteers of Estes Valley Victim Advocates. We would like to thank the Wheel Bar for hosting the 4th annual “Ladies Pool Tournament” on April 19th and the Estes Park Board of Realtors for “Bowl-a-Thon V” on April 24th. Both of these fun events benefit Estes Valley Victim Advocates and My Sister’s Place.

Thanks also to the women who turned out to play pool and the men, women and children who turned out to bowl. We all had fun and enjoyed the wonderful buffet and Poppy’s terrific pizzas. Thanks to everyone who donated great items for the raffles.

The support we receive from our community helps serve those in their time of need. Victims of crime get assistance and support during a crisis as well as information on victims’ rights, compensation and the justice system. Women and children impacted by domestic violence find a safe and confidential place to stay. Free counseling is available to help victims become survivors. We couldn’t do what we do without our community partners! Thank you.
