Town Working To Restore Power In Glen Haven And The Retreat

Town-Glen-Haven-power-floodTown of Estes Park Light & Power is working to clear trees and create 4×4 access in Glen Haven along North Fork and Fox Creek Roads so that infrastructure can be stabilized and power can be restored in those areas. The Town is also working with a contractor to determine how to safely build another 4×4 access road from Glen Haven to The Retreat in order to restore power to The Retreat.

Due to the instability of the canyon down County Road 43, this access may need to be through public/private land over the ridge. Larimer County and the U.S. Forest Service are assisting in planning and on Saturday, the City of Fort Collins signed on to assist with equipment and personnel beginning this week.
