Town Celebrates Amazing Volunteers

The Town of Estes Park held its 16th annual Volunteer Appreciation Event last week at the Estes Park Event Center. Following the theme “Seeds of Kindness,” the event honored the many volunteers that assist the Town in various departments, serving Estes Park’s residents and guests. There were approximately 200 volunteers in attendance. In 2013, volunteer hours totaled 44,028. There were 524 volunteers for the year across 17 groups within the Town. The value of these hours worked to taxpayers is $1,105,102.80.

The Estes Park Pride Award for 2014 honors the entire community of Estes Park for the supportive efforts and camaraderie shown during the flood of September, 2013. The award will be on display at Town Hall.
