Town Board Discussions For Next Meeting

Town-NEWS-LOGOAt its December 10 study session, the Estes Park Town Board will discuss a possible Town policy for the display of art in public places, as well as the naming of Town parks and other public spaces. Susan Ison, Cultural Services Director for the City of Loveland, will join the board to share Loveland’s policies and experiences with its extensive art in public places program.

The Board will also discuss the next steps for the downtown highway realignment project. The Town recently received all the necessary funding to construct a one-way couplet downtown, reduce traffic congestion during busy seasons. The Town will work with the federal and state partners on this project, though planning has not yet begun. Staff will provide the board with an overview of project management options and the steps necessary to begin the project.

Study sessions are held for board and staff discussions — the board makes no decisions during these meetings. The December 10 study session begins at 4:30 p.m. in Rooms 202/203 of Town Hall, 170 MacGregor Ave. Meeting agendas and materials available
