Beaver Mountain Fire Fully Contained

The small fire which started July 18, in Rocky Mountain National Park called the Beaver Mountain Fire has been fully contained. Chip Seal Project On Trail Ridge Road Near Colorado River Trailhead

On Monday, July 9, weather permitting, a chip seal project will begin on Trail Ridge Road on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park from the Colorado River Trailhead to the park boundary, an approximate 10-mile section. Due to the continued extreme fire danger, extended weather forecast and current level of fire activity in the State of Colorado, park officials have announced a ban on all fires within Rocky Mountain National Park. The night closure times for the Bear Lake Road reconstruction project in Rocky Mountain National Park are changing.
