Estes Park resident Timothy L. Mayhew went to his happy hunting grounds Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Timothy Leon Mayhew was born February 12, 1962 in Hillsdale, MI. His parents are Leon and Ruth (Heath) Mayhew.
After graduating from high school, Timothy traveled and spent summers in Estes Park working at Spruce Lake R.V. Park. He began his career with the town of Estes Park working part time in 1986 at the Estes Park Fairgrounds. Opportunities led to a full time position, where he was currently employed. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, archery, trapping, taxidermy, working hard on his many projects and family time.
Timothy is survived by his wife Rita, who he married March 18, 1988 in Estes Park. He is also survived by three children Jason Adams of Phoenix, AZ; Wendy Adams and Amy Spallinger of Estes Park; seven grandchildren Ryan Mills, Ashley Adams, Amber Adams, Gage Smith, R.J. Adams, Breanna Adams and Jade Ertl; his parents Leon and Ruth Mayhew of Prescott Valley, AZ; his sister Dawn Sanchez of Paulden, AZ, and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kelly Mayhew and a son, Chad Adams.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Allnutt Estes Park Chapel, 1302 Graves Avenue, Estes Park, CO. A Farewell Service will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Estes Park Fairgrounds. There will be no dress code-please come as you are in camos, ties, or boots!
