Theresa Ann Fowler
Theresa Ann Fowler, born Nov 2, 1932 to Alfred and Marjorie Kavanaugh in Alva, OK. Ann graduated from Bishop John Carroll in 1950 then went on to study at Rosary College in River Forest, IL, Dunbarton College in DC, and OSU in Stillwater. Ann married in 1956 and raised five children. She later became an X-Ray Tech working in the medical field for many years before marrying the love of her life James (Jim) Fowler in 1980. Together they shared 33 years of wedded bliss living in Bonita Springs, FL, Auburn, WA and finally returning home to Oklahoma City to retire.
She and Jim shared a passion and served on the Oklahoma Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty for many years. She was blessed to have traveled to France, Italy and England with Jim and their great friends. Many will remember Theresa as the 1955 Rooftop Rodeo Queen here in Estes Park. Ann enjoyed life and loved spending time with her large family and circle of friends. She was an inspiration and a blessing to all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bill, Dan, Joe and Dennis Kavanaugh, children Jimbo and Mark Fowler. She is survived by her husband Jim, children Marty Fint, Jeannie Hampton and Megan Fowler of OKC, Lisa Fint of Tulsa, OK, Valerie Merchant of Auburn, WA, thirteen much loved and adored grandchildren and four great grandchildren, brother Michael Kavanaugh and sister Virginia Vogel.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in OKC on Thursday, December 11, 2013.
