Thank You EPVFD!

Dear EP Fire Department,

This is to thank you and all the departments that fought the horrible fire Monday at the Park Theater Mall.  It is because of your dedication, professionalism and tireless efforts that this tragedy did not spread farther. As I and others stood in stunned disbelief watching the battle waged, we appreciated your hard and dangerous work.

As a business owner downtown and a longtime Estes Park resident, my heart goes out to all the friends and colleagues that lost so much Monday. We all know that this could happen to any one of us at any time, and we want to help and support you in the coming months as you try to go on from this horror.

It looks so grim now, seeing the aftermath of the fire in the early morning light. Please know that this community of business people and friends want to help you to see a brighter future.

With my thanks to all that helped yesterday and will help in the coming months.

Sincerely,

Karen Jirsa
