Supporting Dr. Judy Fontius- Board Trustee

To The Editor and Citizens of Estes Park:

We highly recommend for your consideration the election of Judy Fontius, BA, MA, Ph.D. to the Town Board. We know that she will bring a breath of fresh air to the business of politics as usual. Judy is not a politician. She is an extremely bright, energetic and tireless worker in any task she has previously undertaken.

She was raised in Crested Butte, Colorado, received her degrees from Loretto Heights College in Denver and the University of Wisconsin, in Madison. The career from which she has now retired was 32 years in the Denver public schools system as a teacher, school principal and administrator.

Since moving to Estes Park she is and has been an active Board member of the E.P. Senior Center and co-chair of its fund raising committee, assisted in coordinating flood relief for flood victims, a volunteer in Rocky Mountain National Park at Sheep Lake and a docent at the historic MacGregor Ranch.

She has served on numerous boards of directors, including the Colorado Elementary Principals Association and home owners association boards in Lakewood, Colorado and Estes Park. Her hallmark has always been being a good listener and, after doing her due diligence, working collaboratively with her peers in implementing the actions under consideration.

Thanks for your consideration of a vote for Judy on April 1.

Gary & Joan Eberhardt
