Shannon Denice Clark
Shannon Denice Clark, 35, of Ft. Collins died at home on Wednesday September 7, 2011 after an extended battle with cancer.
Shannon was born May 7, 1976 in Rapid City, South Dakota to David and Katherine (Volmer) Miles. She lived in Rapid City and Gillette, Wyoming before moving to Estes Park, Colorado at age eight where she attended Estes Park schools. In 1994 she moved to Fort Collins and has lived here since. She was an Executive Assistant at the Imaging Center in Fort Collins until her health forced her retirement. Shannon loved to travel and recently vacationed on the coast of South Carolina with her family. Shannon was a dedicated mother to her three children.
She is survived by her life partner Taylor Cox, children Shane, Blake and Mackenzie Clark, parents David and Katherine Miles of Estes Park, brothers Eric and Troy Miles of Estes Park, sisters Deanna Heath of Fort Collins and Davina Sumner of Lake Luzerne, New York, and her Grandmother Irja Miles of Houston, Missouri.
A Celebration of Life Service is being planned for Saturday, September 17 at 2 p.m. at Evangelical Covenant Church with Pastor Bert Wright officiating. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Shannon Clark Cancer Fund in care of Vessey Funeral Service, 2649 E. Mulberry Street, A-1, Fort Collins, CO 80524. Proceeds will be used for the children’s education.
