Second Trolley Arrives For The Spring Start-Up Of Historic Tours

trolley-townEstes Park Historical Tours are projected to start in April of 2014. The Groome family (father Wayne, wife Sharon and daughter Marsha) have joined forces to establish a new corporation called Fun Tyme Trolleys, LLC to provide historic tours of the Estes area. These 75-minute tours by trolley will run four times a day from mid-April through October.

The tour business will start operations with one trolley, while a second trolley will be available to hire out to businesses, organizations and individuals for special events, private tours and charters.

The historic tour is being developed and scripted by the town Historian Laureate, James Pickering, and will be presented by a narrator during each tour. The trolleys are all painted in distinctive red and green colors, are gasoline powered and have an antique charm about them. They are equipped with a strong PA system, which will enable all the passengers to enjoy the narrated tours.

Watch for the trolley’s debut in the “Catch the Glow” parade this year, and look for them running around Estes next year.
