Second Annual Chuckwagon Dinner At MacGregor Ranch

Come and join the western fun at MacGregor Ranch on June 21st for our Second Annual Chuckwagon Dinner Fundraiser!  The dinner will last from 3- 7 p.m. with dinner served at 5:30 p.m. and includes; steak, corn on the cob, baked beans, roll, watermelon, chocolate cake and coffee.  This fundraising event will include activities for the entire family and is set among the historic buildings of the ranch just below the Twin Owls of Lumpy Ridge.

There will be wagon rides, museum tours, barn tours, visits to the Nature Center, horseshoeing demonstration, live entertainment, children’s games, antique car rides, and both a silent and live auction. Maude’s Mercantile will also be open.

Among the auction items will be a basket filled with scrumptious goodies from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, a print by Ron Ball, stained glass by Jay Grooters, a horse collar mirror, a Kris Kringle figurine from Home for the Holidays among many other items.

New this year, nationally known cowboy poet Gary McMahan will be performing at 4:30 p.m. Mr. McMahan is a national champion yodeler and award winning songwriter, author and recording artist.

Ever popular local favorite Brad Fitch will be performing at 5:30 p.m. during dinner. Earlier in the day the group High Country Strings will also be performing.

Funds raised will help preserve western heritage and the youth educational programs which take place at the ranch. Over 3,000 children visit the Ranch each year and become connected with history and land through many different programs. The ranch is operated by the Muriel L. MacGregor Charitable Trust, a 501(c) 3 private operating foundation.

Tickets are available at Boulder Valley Credit Union, Macdonald Book Shop, The Estes Park Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, and the MacGregor Ranch Office, 970-586-3749.

There are only 200 tickets available for this event and last years event was sold out! Ticket prices are $65 for adults, $30 for children ages 6-12 years old and under six is free.
