By: Karen McClure
A whopping $28,650, $3,650 over the goal of $25,000, had been contributed to the annual Salvation Army kettle campaign by Christmas Eve, according to treasurer Wayne Andersen. Campaign chair Randy Skeie, relentless in his efforts, coordinated a team of twenty-eight businesses and organizations and over two hundred bell ringers who made it happen. A community with a big heart and generous nature responded in kind.
Kettle captains were: Larry Allen, Wayne Andersen, Dick Brown, Bob Brunson, Ken Cole, Don Lickfett, Roy Marvin, Rey Olson, Terry Parenti, Ernie Petrocine, Julie Phares and Randy Skeie.
The following were supporting businesses and organizations: Anderson Realty® & Mgmt., American Legion, Board of Realtors®, Boulder Valley Credit Union, Crossroads Minstry, Estes Park News, Estes Park High School, Estes Park Trail Gazette, First Colorado Realty®, First National Bank, Insurance Associates of Estes Park, KEPL Radio, Kiwanis Club, Knights of Columbus, Komito Boots, LB & N Insurance, Lions Club, Macdonald Book Shop, the Optimist Club, Prudential Rocky Mountain Realty®, Redstone Restaurant owned by Josh Henderson, Sunrise Rotary, Safeway, Salud Clinic, Senior Center, The Rotary Club of Estes Park, the Town of Estes Park and US Bank.
