Rotary Clubs Co-Sponsor Shred A Thon This Saturday

Shredathon1The Rotary Clubs of Estes Park (Sunrise and Noon Rotarians) are jointly sponsoring a Shred-a-Thon this Saturday morning, October 10th, 2009. The event will be held in the parking lot of the Visitors Bureau from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. Two trucks will be onsite and customers are invited to watch.

Community shred days are part of our commitment to the prevention of identity theft and recycling.

Items appropriate for shredding are:

1. old bank statements

2. credit card offers

3. cancelled checks

4. old medical records

5. pay check stubs

6. anything with your personal information

Clips, staples, and binders do not need to be removed.

Items not accepted are trash, pop cans, and newspapers.

Each person is welcome to bring 3-5 copy boxes or one large trash bag full of confidential material.

This effort is also a fundraiser for Rotary scholarships and all monies donated will go toward supporting our students. The suggested donation for one large trash bag of material is $10.

Waste Management will be providing trash bins for the recycling of all boxes.
