Ribbon-Cutting For Library’s New Computer Classroom

Library-Ribbon-CuttingLibrary staff and key program partners, joined by Mayor Bill Pinkham, helped celebrate the completion of the new computer classroom with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this week.

Last spring, the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado awarded a substantial grant to the Estes Valley Library for the construction of a 13-seat computer training classroom. Two major private donations from local residents supplemented the project with the creation of much-needed small conference room spaces that adjoin the classroom, now open on the second floor.

This season’s Computer Classroom use will have special focus on jobs and livelihoods as the Estes Valley makes a strong recovery from the economic setbacks of last fall’s flood.

Look for basic computer training workshops to debut in 2015. This season, watch for wealth-building workshops (some in the classroom, others in traditional meeting room settings) and be part of a community’s resilient return to vitality.
