Quota Club Looking For Artists To Decorate Birdhouses For Fundraiser
Members of Quota Club are looking for some creative people to participate in their new fundraiser in conjunction with their 25th annual, Taste of Estes which will be held on April 23rd at the Holiday Inn Conference Center.
Local woodworkers at Good Samaritan Village have been very busy making beautiful wooden birdhouses for participants to decorate. Quota is looking for artists and/or creative and imaginative individuals to take one of these birdhouses and have fun decorating, painting or embellishing it in your own special way.
Quotarians will put the one of a kind birdhouses on display at MedX for several weeks prior to the Taste and people will have the chance to view them, choose their favorites and purchase tickets to enter a drawing to win the one they want.
On the day of the Taste, Quota Club members will move them over to the Holiday Inn Conference Center to be on display and participants of the Taste can also enter the drawing that evening. Winners names will be drawn at the end of the night of Taste of Estes and they will be able to take their wonderful new birdhouse home with them.
All money that Quota Club earns through their various fund-raisers such as these, go to help support local needs such as purchasing ambulances for our town, purchasing medical equipment for the Loan Closet at the Estes Park Medical Center, student grants, hearing aids for those in need, equipment and supplies for our schools and much more.
This will be a fun way to express your creativity and at the same time, support a great cause. The Estes Park News will run photos of all the birdhouses, with the artist’s name prior to the Taste of Estes.
To sign up to receive a birdhouse to decorate, please call Karen Johnson at local cell number, 970-310-5244. Thank you!
