Quota Club Celebrates A Tasty Taste Of Estes

To The Editor:

On behalf of Quota Club of Estes Park, we would like to thank the community for the wonderful turnout at the 24th annual Taste of Estes, at the Estes Park Conference Center. The Taste of Estes was a huge success again this year, raising over $8,200.00 for the community.

The money raised helps fund a variety of Quota Club community projects. These projects include the Loan Closet at the hospital, the on-going Ambulance Fund, AED defibrillator distribution for a “Heart Safe Town,” Student Grants, Hearing and Speech projects, Service to Youth and Service to Elderly projects among others.
There are so many wonderful people and businesses we would like to thank, that it’s hard to know where to begin. Let me start with THE PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS – Big Horn Restaurant, The View Restaurant, Grandma’s Mountain Cookies, Oskar Blues in Lyons, Dunraven Downtown, Silverado Restaurant, Wapiti Restaurant & Pub, Estes Park Brewery, LongZ Mountain Grill, YMCA of the Rockies, Notchtop Bakery & Café, Twin Owls Steakhouse, Sweet Basilico Café, Starbuck’s Coffee, Laura’s Fudge, Wild Rose Food and Spirits, Ed’s Cantina, Dolcetto’s, Thai Kitchen and The Egg & I.

We would also like to say thank you to our sales locations – A La Carte, CVB, Macdonald Book Shop, MedX, and Poppy’s. Also a big thank you to all of our other volunteers and our dear Quota Slaves…our husbands/significant others, we couldn’t have done it without you!

This year we added a new taste of spring to the Taste of Estes with Birdhouses of all kinds. First we want to thank the wonderful men in the woodworking group out at Good Samaritan Society who made our birdhouses…they were wonderful! Next, we want to thank all the wonderful artists of Estes Park that took the time to decorate and paint the fabulous birdhouses. Artists include: Sarah Gabelhouse from YMCA Of The Rockies, Pam England, Janet Graham,  Lori Mitchell, Heidi Campbell, Mary Jo McGillivray, Kathleen Anderson, Dawn Normali, Jacquie and Tori Buckert, Deb Bialeschki, Audie Yenter, Kathy Yenter, Julie Parker, Carol Cunningham, Jordan Hazelton, Kaley Schumaker, Heather Stone, Gary & Kris Hazelton , Melanie Humphrey, and many members of Melanie’s family!  Each of you made such a wonderful contribution of time and talent; we hope you will join us again next year!

The many things we do in this community would not be possible without the kind and generous help of people like you. We hope that you enjoyed yourself as much as we did, and that you will plan to join us again next year!

Thanks for everything!
