Paul Harvey

Harvey, Paul Douglas, 61, of Allenspark, Colorado passed away peacefully in his mountain home September 20th, 2012.

Born February 5th 1951 of Lockport New York, Paul was the son of the late Albert and Marjorie (Carrigan) Harvey of Newfane, New York.

Paul is survived by Barbara (Benedetti) Harvey, wife of 38 years, of Lockport, NY now residing in Allenspark, CO. Married October 26th 1974, Barb will hold dear their life built together in a charming red log cabin home in a quaint mountain town.

Paul is survived by Lynsay Harvey, daughter, (27) of Parker, CO. Lynsay will hold dear memories of their cooking, passion for weather, and wildlife.

Siblings include late brother Richard Harvey, deceased 2005 of St. Augustine, Florida.

Paul is survived by; brother Mark (Mimi) Harvey of St. Augustine FL, brother by heart- cousin Steven (Linda Trescott) Harvey of Wilson NY. Niece Jennifer (Robert Crocker) Harvey of St. Augustine FL, nephews: Richard Harvey II., and Mark Harvey IL, of St. Augustine FL. Aunts; Jean Richards of Lockport, NY and Melva Bull of Newfane, NY.

Paul is also survived by nephews, cousins, loved ones, and close friends.

Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines (‘69 – ’71), based in Okinawa, Japan. For his lifetime, Paul flew the American flag proudly on the peak of his mountain home.

Paul retired, of 34 years, July 4th 2008, his personal independence day, from National Institute of Science and Technology (Boulder, CO). Paul’s daily commute included 75 miles roundtrip of mountain terrain, with his admired Subaru.

Paul will be remembered for his exemplary chef skills and his enthusiasm for golfing, fishing, and hunting. Paul will also be remembered for his love of the mountains and all of its terrain, wildlife, and passion for his red log cabin in his quaint mountain town.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday September 29th at 11:00 a.m. at New Covenant Church. 1423 County Road 84 W (Wild Basin), (303) 747-1114.

A celebration of life will immediately follow at The Fawn Brook Inn, 357 Colorado 7 Business, Allenspark, CO 80510 (303) 747-2556.
