Fish Creek Road

Fish Creek Road

On behalf of the Upper Thompson Sanitation District (UTSD) we would like to take this brief opportunity to provide you with an update on the current status of the temporary sanitary sewer system installation along Fish Creek Road.

UTSD has selected our firm, Western Summit Constructors Inc. (WSCI) to provide the construction related resources necessary to temporarily restore the sewer system along Fish Creek Road. Our goal is simple, yet immensely important to those affected. We are committed to working as a team with UTSD to restore sewer services in a safe and efficient manner.

While we intend to minimize our impact to traffic access along Fish Creek Road and maintain a high level of sensitivity to Fish Creek itself through extensive pre-planning, there will be brief periods of time during the reconstruction effort that traffic access will be affected and heavy equipment will be working in the Creek.

Our resources, including construction equipment, piping materials, and manpower are mobilizing as you read this notification. This work is anticipated to take 2 ½ to 3 months, dependent upon weather and our ability to locate the service laterals and make tie-ins to the new sanitary sewer trunk line. We strongly encourage all concerned citizens to avoid the areas where we are working along Fish Creek Road for your safety, and the safety of our personnel.

The installation of the new sewer trunk line and lateral tie-ins will progress from North to South along Fish Creek Road. We do anticipate that as we progress, we will be able to restore some of the sewer services well ahead of the overall estimated duration noted above.

We certainly appreciate your patience as we work diligently to restore this vital system to those affected. We fully intend to provide you with updates as we progress with this restoration process, however if you have any questions or concerns you may contact the UTSD office or please visit the UTSD website at for additional information.
