Memorial Day Service This Saturday At Estes Valley Memorial Gardens
Everyone is invited to attend the Memorial Day Service to be held at Estes Valley Memorial Gardens this Saturday, May 31 at 11:00 a.m.
The program begins with a prelude on the bagpipes with drum by Skylar Johnson, piper and Jack Barber, drummer. Presentation of colors will be performed by the Joseph J. Duncan Jr. American Legion Post 119 Color Guard, commanded by Sgt. at Arms, Donna Weber and an Honor Guard consisting of members of Scout Troop 8 of Estes Park.
Playing to the colors will be Lt. Col. Loren Johnson, USAF (Ret.) followed by “My Country T’is of Thee” sung by Scott Anderson. Welcome and Pledge of Allegiance will be given by Pat Newsom, President of Estes Valley Memorial Gardens with Invocation by Paul Logue, Pastor of Estes Park Baptist Church. Remarks and Reflections will then be given by Bill Pinkham, Mayor of Estes Park and a prayer by Frank Faiella, Jr. Chaplain of Post 119.
“God Bless America” will be sung by Scott Anderson and then, Benediction by Paul Logue. Taps will be played by
Lt. Col. Loren Johnson, with Finale on the bagpipes and drum.
Service personnel are encouraged to wear their uniforms to this meaningful tribute to our veterans who have served or are serving our nation.
