Mark Your Calendars For These Fun Community Events!

October 31, 5-9 p.m. Bring the kids to Trick-or-Treat downtown!

Fall Back Beer Festival:

November 2, 1-5 p.m., Riverside Plaza

Tickets are available at estes.org/events. $30 gets you unlimited tastings from Colorado microbreweries such as Estes Park Brewery, Pateros Creek, Oskar Blues, City Star, High Hops, Very Nice, Crow Hop Brewing, Amicas Micro Brewery, a commemorative tasting mug, and live entertainment from winners of the 2013 Rockygrass Band Competition – The Railsplitters and an Estes Park favorite – Chainstation Mountain Music! We will also feature a beer and food pairing event from 3-4 p.m. for an additional $10. What better way to spend your extra hour than with good friends and beer?

Tree Lighting Ceremony:

November 23, 4:30-6:30 p.m., Riverside Plaza

Join us to decorate a stocking, enjoy sweet treats and hot chocolate, radio flyer wagon rides and an early visit from Santa Claus. Various holiday arts and craft vendors will be there so you can begin your holiday shopping. The lighting of the live tree starts promptly at 5:30 p.m. Join us after for community sing-alongs and a celebration of the holiday season. Each year we to celebrate the tradition by honoring an Estes Park family, and this year we have decided to celebrate our local heroes and those who came through with flood recovery efforts. Stay tuned for information on how to participate.

Catch the Glow Parade and Festivities:

November 29, downtown activities from 12-3 p.m. at Bond Park, parade begins at 5:30 p.m.

Just as dusk arrives, floats with thousands of tiny twinkling lights roll by lighting up the street. There will be storybook figures, angels, snowmen, marching bands, entertainers, wildlife characters and of course, Santa and his sleigh! Other events will take place throughout the day in Bond Park, including visits with Santa, hay rides, festive carolers and whimsical characters greeting shoppers along Elkhorn Avenue. If your local nonprofit group is interested in entering a unit in the parade, please read, complete and return the Parade Entry Form on estes.org/events by November 13, 2013.
