Marjorie Ford


Marjorie Playford Rush Ford, beloved wife of the late Thomas William Ford, Jr. died at the Estes Park Good Samaritan Home on February 3, 2012. She and her twin sister Flora Mae, were born on January 24, 1919 in Englewood N J. She and her husband were married in Baltimore, MD on June 3, 1937.

They had one child, the Rev. Jonathan Thomas Ford, Sr. Marjorie is survived by: her son and his wife, Elaine Thompson Ford, of Estes Park; her sister, Flora Mae Kitson Burch Wilhide, of Colorado Springs; her brother, Richard Herald Burch of Newbury Park, CA; her grandchildren: Jennifer, and her husband Richard Paustenbaugh of Stillwater, OK; Jonathan, Jr. and his wife Dawn, of Duluth, GA,; and, Susannah, and her husband Michael Joseph Dillender, Sr., of Chesapeake, VA; and five great grandchildren, Erik and Kirsten Paustenbaugh, Brittany and Jonathan Ford, and Michael Joseph Dillender, Jr. Marjorie was preceded in death by her father, Playford Lorenzo Rush, M.D., her twin sister, and her mother, Flora Mae Walker Rush Burch.

A Requiem Mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Church on Saturday, February 11, at 11:00 a.m. There will also be a Celebration of Marjorie’s life held at Good Samaritan Village on Monday February 13, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Main Dining Room. The committal of her cremains will take place later at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Hospice at the Estes Park Medical Center or St. Francis of Assisi Anglican Church in Estes Park.
