Margaret Oldaker Dickinson
Margaret (Pegge) Dickinson passed away on 31 January 2012. Pegge graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder 1952 and was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. Pegge was a resident of Estes Park, Colorado for 57 years. She was married to the late Mike Dickinson and raised four children in Estes Park. Throughout her life, Pegge was a leader and volunteer in the Estes Park community.
She was a member of PEO for almost 58 years and held every leadership position within the AV chapter. She was an Ambassador at the Estes Park Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, a volunteer at MacGregor Ranch Museum, a band mother for the Estes Park Marching Band, a Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School volunteer at the Community Church of the Rockies, a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Boy Scout Den Mother. She was also the first dietitian at the Estes Park Medical Center. Pegge was a wonderful Mother and homemaker to four children. She had six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pegge is survived by her daughter Jan Dickinson of Littleton, Colorado, and her son, Brigadier General Jim Dickinson, his wife, Angie and their children; Deborah, Henry, Olivia and Joseph of Honolulu, Hawaii, along with Granddaughters; Nichole Gonzales and Amanda Bentley of California. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. (viewing at 08:30 a.m.) at the Community Church of the Rockies.
