Loretta Dean Beery
Loretta Dean Beery died with her daughter and grandson at her side at Fort Collins Health Center on Friday, July 10, 2009. She was 83 years old. Loretta Dean Kincheloe was born on October 26, 1925 in Lafayette County, MO. Her parents were Lawrence and Della (Paris) Kincheloe.
Loretta graduated from Lexington, MO High School. She attended two years of college. She married Ray Beery on February 2, 1944 at Olathe, KS and they lived at the dorms at Wentworth Academy. They moved to Fort Collins, CO while Ray attended Veterinary college. Upon his graduation they moved to Orlando, FL where there children Jan and Les were born. They later moved to Boulder, CO where they opened their own business, Table Mesa Veterinary Hospital. After Ray retired, they moved to Fort Morgan, CO where they owned and operated the S-Bar Land & Cattle CO. In the following years they lived Florida and Green Valley, Az. They had visited Estes Park, CO many years before becoming a resident in 1990, until Ray’s death in 1993. Loretta then lived in Nokomis, Fl and Estes Park.
Loretta enjoyed cruises and visited China, Australia, Russia, Africa and Japan. She raised many dogs including Yorkshires Terriers and Maltese. Her favorites were Tally Ho, Sheeba Sue and Megan. She enjoyed the better things in life including a good movie and good restaurants.
Loretta is survived by a son, Les Beery and wife Kim of Estes Park; a daughter, Janice Kolanda and husband Robert of Longmont, CO; grandchildren Robert John Kolanda II his wife Tammy and their son William Calder Kolanda of Longmont; Zachary Nathan Kolanda his wife Deanna and children Anthony and Abbey Lynn Kolanda of Johnstown, CO; Joseph Michael Kolanda his wife La of Johnstown, CO; Kier Rounsefell and husband Justin and children Kierstin and Tyndall; Terall Beery and wife Adina and children Kyla, Sage and Gavin; Travis Beery and wife Patricia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray and her parents.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder, CO. Visitation was held July 15, 2009 at Allnutt Hunter Chapel, 2100 N. Lincoln, Loveland, CO.
