Lois Daniels of Estes Park died Wednesday January 4, 2012 at her home at Good Samaritan Village in Estes Park. She was 94 years old.
Lois Elliott was born July 24, 1917 in Fort Collins, CO. Her parents were Alvin & Emelia (Wiegand) Elliott. Her family moved to the Denver and Wheat Ridge area, and Lois graduated from North High School. Lois worked as a bookkeeper at the Denver City and County Building until her marriage to Robert W. Daniels on July 28, 1944 in Denver. After moving to Estes Park in 1968, she worked at Wayne Hunt & Associates. She was a long time member of Mountain View Bible Fellowship Church in Estes Park where she served on many committees over the years. She was an avid hiker, having climbed many of the area peaks. Robert died February 22, 1998.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Eileen Allbritten and her husband Wes; her daughter Jean Norman and her husband Don. Eileen and Wes live in Estes Park, Colorado. Jean and Don live in Johnstown, Co. She is also survived by four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, two sisters; June Quinn of Westminster, CO. and Joyce Le Brecht of Portage, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
A memorial service is planned to celebrate Lois’ life on Sunday January 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View Bible Fellowship. Lois walked every step of her life with Jesus by her side.
