Library Computer Lab To Assist Job Seekers June 19
Job seekers and those in career transition have an ideal opportunity to benefit from the expert assistance of the Larimer County Workforce Center (LCWC). The Estes Valley Library is partnering with LCWC to host a pair of free workshops on Thursday, June 19. The sessions will be held in the newly opened Computer Classroom on the second floor.
Space is limited, so registration is required at the June 19 calendar link at estesvalleylibrary.org.
From 10 a.m. to 12 noon on June 19, LCWC trainers present “Creating Your Core Resume.” In this computer-based class, participants will be guided in creating a winning resume that gets the attention of potential employers. The session is especially useful for anyone creating their first resume or who has not updated their resume in a long time. Attendees are encouraged to bring specifics including their job history and a rough description of the job for which they may be applying.
From 12:30 pm to 2:00 p.m. on June 19, “Online Job Searching” will be offered as an ideal workshop for those exploring job options. LCWC specialists will spotlight the most effective resources that can greatly expand a searcher’s job opportunities—as well as bring their name to a wider pool of potential future employers. Interactive and web-based, the tools will turn a sluggish job search into an exciting and effective new future.
Participants who choose to take part in both workshops are welcome to bring a brown-bag lunch to enjoy during the break.
Those interested may register for the classes by visiting the Library website calendar and navigating to the June 19 date at estesvalleylibrary.org or by calling the library at (970) 586-8116, extension 3.
