Leo Pankau, a 20 year resident of Estes Park, succumbed to a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis and passed away March 14, 2009.
It was necessary for Leo to move to a lower elevation to make it easier for him to breathe. Leo and Bobbie chose Boise, Idaho to be closer to their daughter Lisa and her family. Leo and Bobbie have resided in Boise for the past two in a half years.
While living in Estes Park, Leo, Bobbie and family owned the Triple R Cottages and Special Me Preschool. Our lives in Estes Park were touched by many dear people, and we were left with many fond memories and special feelings in our hearts.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and his dear grandson Brian Pankau. He is survived by his wife Bobbie of 51 years, two sons, Tod of Lakewood, Brad (Aimee) of Denver, daughter Lisa (Scott) Hays, grandchildren Zach and Kaley Hays of Bosie Idaho, grandson Jes (Kristen) Pankau, great grandsons Jamie and Joshua of Loveland Colorado.
Also, his brother Ed (Norma) Pankau of Casa Grande Arizona, sisters, Carol (Leon) Threllkel of Casa Grande Arizona, Mary Lou Kissinger of Denver Colorado and Janice (Ron) Casias of Colorado Springs Colorado, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
Leo will always hold a special place in all of our hearts and is deeply missed.
