Estes Park resident King Recen passed peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 8, 2008. He was 59 years old. Paul King Recen was born September 11, 1948 in Denver, CO. His parents were Clyde and Edna (Phillips) Recen.
King attended and graduated from Denver West High School in 1966. After graduating, King embarked on a career in music which lasted until his passing. His passion for playing guitar, and his beautiful singing voice afforded him opportunities to travel with his Rock ‘n’ Roll Band mates to many places. King’s “day job” was as a mechanical estimator. He purchased Ozark Mechanical with his business partner in 1999.
King is survived by his sons, Dillon Recen and Tabor Recen of Estes Park, his ex-wife, Sam of Estes Park, as well as many of their friends whom he helped raise. To say that he will be greatly missed would fall exceedingly short.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ, 1470 Fish Creek Road, Estes Park, CO.
