Kathleen Suzanne Stuart

Kathleen Suzanne Stuart, 50, of Laramie passed away Sunday January 29 at the Estes Park Medical Center in Estes Park, Colorado. She fought a courageous 12 year battle against sarcoidosis. Kathy was born November 15, 1961 in Laramie, Wyoming at the old Ivinson Memorial Hospital. She was raised in Loveland and Ft. Collins, Colorado during which time she took part in competitive swimming, choir and cheerleading. She graduated from Poudre High School in Ft. Collins in 1980. She attended Denver University where she studied athletic training and shortly after she began her pursuit of a career in the health care industry. She started out as an EMT for a Denver ambulance service and Air Life after which she began working in hospitals. He career progressed from working in admitting to insurance billing. She was married while living in Denver and had many opportunities to travel. She loved to visit Las Vegas. After her divorce she moved to Mesa, Arizona where she lived for several years. She moved back to Laramie 14 years ago to become a caregiver to her grandparents, Elsie and Chick Henn. She obtained a job at Ivinson Memorial Hospital, made new friends, and decided to stay in Laramie. She loved her job in Quality Assurance, the people she worked with and living in Laramie. Her generosity of heart and kindness of spirit will be sorely missed.

She was preceded in death by her brother Kevin Stuart, her grandparents, Chick and Elsie Henn, Clifford Stuart Sr. and David and Thelma Weisse and her uncle Col. Charles (Chick) Henn USAF and other family members.

She is survived by her parents Cliff and Beverly Stuart of Estes Park, CO, a sister Kristine Esterly and her husband Dale and their daughter Linsey Esterly all of Estes Park, CO; an aunt Sally Henn of Ft. Worth, TX and cousins Scott Henn and his wife Stephanie; Michael Henn and his wife Cheio; and Krista Isom and her husband Robert and their families.

Funeral services will be held Friday February 3 at 1:30 p.m. at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home with the Reverend Rhett Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ivinson Memorial Hospital Foundation, 255 No. 30th Street, Laramie, WY 82072.
