Estes Park resident Joseph Pittman died Sunday, December 28, 2008 in Windsor, CO. He was 59 years old. Joseph H. Pittman, Jr. was born March 26, 1949 in Cincinnati, OH. His parents were Joseph H. and Marguerite (Saunders) Pittman, Jr.
Joe graduated from Princeton High School in Cincinnati. He worked as a Press Operator for Deluxe Check Printing for 23 years. Joe married Carol in 1984 in Cincinnati, OH. As a young man, Joe had the opportunity to visit Estes Park. He decided then that someday he would live there. Joe and Carol moved to Estes Park, CO in 1995. Joe worked for the Park School District as a bus driver for 13 years. He also worked for the Estes Valley Recreation and Park District for several summers.
Joe was an avid bowler, participating in several leagues. He served as a league president and was a director for the Estes Park Bowling Association. He also participated in several local, state and national tournaments. Joe enjoyed hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Joe is survived by his wife, Carol of Estes Park; a son, John Pittman and wife Jennie of Cincinnati, OH; a brother Allan Pittman and wife Rochelle of Cincinnati, OH, grandchildren Maddie, Emma, and Colin Pittman of Cincinnati OH; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
