Historic Preservation Ordinance Committee To Speak At ARD Meeting
Representatives from the Historic Preservation Ordinance Committee will speak at the Association for Responsible Development’s (ARD) monthly meeting on Friday, January 14 at 8:30 a.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room at Good Samaritan Village.
The public is invited to attend.
Speakers will be committee members John Baudek and Sharry White. Estes Park Historian Laureate Jim Pickering will also attend. The Historic Preservation Ordinance Committee was formed to prepare a draft historic preservation ordinance for Estes Park to help preserve the unique character and history of the town. A draft ordinance will be presented at a public hearing to the Estes Park Town Board in the spring.
All future ARD meetings will be open to the public, as well this year, as special guest speakers make presentations on a variety of topics important to the development of the Estes Valley. Planned for discussion at future meetings are some of the following topics: “An Introduction to Comprehensive Planning,” “Town-Owned Properties/Opportunities and Development Implications,” “Affordable Housing and Community Planning,” and “An Update from the Traffic Visioning Committee.”
Further information will be announced before each meeting in local newspapers.
ARD is dedicated to preserving the unique mountain character and natural beauty of the Estes Valley by fostering appropriate and responsible development. Meetings are held on the second Friday of every month in the Assisted Living Multi-Purpose Room at Good Samaritan Village beginning at 8:30 a.m. New members and visitors are always welcome.
