Helen Alison Guy
Helen Alison Bateman was born on Oct. 28, 1912 in Barbados British West Indies. Her parents were Gray Wolston Bateman and Muriel Alison (Austin) Bateman.
On Feb. 22, 1936 she married Reginald H. T. (Rex) Guy in New Brunswick, NJ. They lived in New Brunswick and North Brunswick for many years. She was employed by NJ Bell Telephone and later W.T. Grant & Co. In 1969 she and her husband retired to Vero Beach, Florida. Reginald died in 1976 and Helen continued to live in Vero Beach until she moved to Colorado in 2000. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach.
She enjoyed traveling, music and sewing. She is survived by her daughter Hope Perrine and her husband Walter (Pete) of Battlement Mesa, CO, and her son Reg Guy and his wife Judy of Estes Park. She is also survived by grandchildren Sheryl Perrine of Pocatello, Idaho, Jill Cameron and her husband Richard of Colorado Springs, CO, Travis Guy of Antarctica and Zach Guy of Crested Butte, CO and a great granddaughter Jessica Cameron of Colorado Springs.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Chapel, 1302 Graves Ave., Estes Park.
