Groundbreaking Ceremony For New MPEC And Stall Barn At Fairgrounds
Town officials break ground on the $6 million project – the single largest General Fund investment in the community infrastructure ever made by the Town of Estes Park. The MPEC and stall barns will provide gathering space for the community, bolster the local economy with a new year-round venue for trade shows and special events, add to features of the Estes Park Conference Center, and safely sustain current equestrian events while attracting new ones.
The new barn will replace old barns located at the southeast corner of the fairgrounds. Community members, project consultants and contractors joined Town officials to celebrate the beginning of the MPEC and Stall Barn construction. The MPEC, at about 37,000 square-feet, and the stall barn, at about 26,000 square-feet, are expected to be complete by February, 2014. Courtesy photos
