Grace Heideman, 99, of Loveland, Colorado died Saturday, May 11, 2010 at Sierras Vista Nursing Home.
The daughter of the late J.P. and Mabelle Rawley Keppler, she was born on October 18, 1910 in Kewanee, Illinois.
Over her lifetime, she lived in Illinois, Texas, and Colorado. She was a longtime member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed playing organ and piano and singing in the choir. Her career was in finance in the Treasury, Tax and Loan Department of the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago. She love dining out, sewing, knintting, shopping, going to movies, and doing crossword puzzles.
She was known affectionately for most of her adult life as “Grandma Goose.” She would often sign cards and letters “Amazing Grace,” and she truly was amazing.
She is survivved by her son-in-law Glenn Frederichs, of Estes Park; three grandchildren: Diane Kavanaugh, Mark Frederichs, and Michael Frederichs and by six great-grandchildren: Kelly Bailey, Bonnie Kavanaugh, Victoria Frederichs, Rebecca Frederichs, Christopher Frederichs, and Andrew Frederichs.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Heideman, her sister Ruth Donovan, and her daughter, Joy Frederichs.
