Glenda Grape, pen name Michelle Maura, died at her Pinewood Springs home September 16, 2012. She was 76 years old. Glenda Carol Swanson was born March 20, 1936 in Grant, IA. Her parents were Wayne & Edith Lucille (King) Swanson.
On April 16, 1954 she married Edward Lee Grape in Red Oak, CA. The couple moved to a farmhouse near Del Camino, CO in 1969, and in 1974 moved to their Pinewood Springs home. Glenda was a nature & wildlife artist. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and being in the Rocky Mountains. She had a large doll collection for which she enjoyed making clothes.
She was a member of Defenders of Wildlife, Artists for Conservation and the National Nature Conservancy. Glenda is survived by her husband Ed, a son David W. Grape of Lyons, CO, and a sister Elaine Dalrymple of Robinsdale, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Nedra Schafer.
