Friends Of The MacGregor Ranch Enjoy Haywagon Event

The XIX Friends of MacGregor Ranch enjoyed a fun evening Monday when they participated in the Haywagon Ride Event. The group was invited in recognition of their ongoing support and commitment to the perpetual operation of MacGregor Ranch.

The mission of the Muriel L. MacGegor Charitable Trust is “To continue operation of the MacGregor Ranch as a high mountain historic working cattle ranch and to support youth education. This mission will be carried out by maintaining the presence of a cattle and horse herd, preservation and interpretation of historic buildings and educational tours. The focus of the Ranch will be on quality experiences through respect for the land, the ranch and its history.”

The ranch participates in:
Historic cattle and horse drawn agricultural operations
Restoration of existing antique equipment and purchase of additional authentic equipment
Purchase and maintenance of working draft horse teams
Maintenance of living history activities
Land maintenance and conservation practices
Maintenance of historic irrigation ditch systems
Reclamation of roads and fencing
Development of livestock watering systems and grazing management activities
Historic buildings restoration and maintenance
Continued restoration, stabilization, maintenance and interpretation of historic structures
The Museum takes care of:
Collections care, painting and artifact restorations
Collection storage building
Living history programming
Archive research and publication
General ranch and equipment needs
Update automated equipment

To sustain the Historic MacGregor Ranch into the next decade and continue to meet their Mission Statement, private and corporate contributions and donor sponsorship are always being sought.
