Friends Of The Library Accepting Donations For August Used Book Sale

The Friends of the Library is now accepting donations of gently used books, videos, CDs DVDs and audio books for its summer used book sale to be held August 9, 10, and 11, 2013 at the Rocky Mountain Park Inn’s Conference Center on Hwy. 7.

Persons wishing to donate books and other items may take them to the Estes Valley Library where Friends volunteers will organize, categorize and box up the materials for storage.

Items that cannot be accepted for donation include: encyclopedias and/or yearbooks, textbooks, school books of any kind, severely damaged books, withdrawn library books or Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, maps, magazines, records, music cassettes or homemade videotapes.

Proceeds from the sale will fund projects at the Estes Valley Library.

Last year’s summer event raised more than $28,000 that directly benefitted the library because of the generous donations from the community.

For more information about the sale, or to become a member of the Friends of the Library, contact the Estes Valley Library at (970) 586-8116, check out the library’s website at www.estesvalleylibrary.org, or stop by the library to sign-up.
