Flooding Causing Road Closures


river-flood-rain-big-thompsonHeavy rain has caused Fish Creek in Estes Park to breach its banks. A small number of low-lying residences on Fish Creek at Brook Drive have been evacuated to Mountain View Bible Fellowship.

Remember to stay clear of stream edges, and be prepared to seek higher ground. Do not attempt to drive through water.

Officials will continue to monitor river levels and updates will be provided here as needed.

A flood safety notice and warning has been sent to low-lying properties along a portion of Fish Creek Road from Brodie Avenue to Rockwood Lane using the LETA911 emergency notification .

Larimer County is experiencing widespread flooding throughout the county with numerous road closures.

Currently Highway 14 from Ted’s Place up the Poudre Canyon to Stove Prairie is closed.

Highway 34 from the Dam Store up the Big Thompson Canyon to Estes Park is closed

Highway 36 from Lyons to Estes Park is closed

County Road 47 from Highway 36 is closed

County Road 27from Stove Prairie to Highway 14 is closed

Emergency Services and deputies are monitoring the situation and further updates will be forthcoming. Rain continues to fall across Larimer County,we will post additional information.
