Lone Tree Antiques and Fine Art is pleased to present a summer exhibition of work by the well-known Estes Park artist David Stirling at their gallery in Eaton, Colo.

Stirling is one of the most recognized and beloved artists who lived in and portrayed Estes Park and the surrounding areas.

Born in 1887 in Corydon, Iowa, Stirling moved with his wife to Estes Park in 1916, where he remained until his death in 1971. His wife Kitty, and their children Hattie and Jack, also lived and worked in the Estes Park area.

Stirling became known for his art studio, which was initially inside Rocky Mountain National Park and later in downtown Estes. He was a local celebrity, often entertaining famous visitors to the region. Many notables from the scientific community, Hollywood elite and the music industry visited with Stirling while visiting Estes.

Lone Tree Antiques and Fine art presents a themed exhibition every summer. The 25 original works in this collection have been made available to the public courtesy of Dave and Cheryl Schultz, custodians of the Stirling archive.

Sketches, paintings, photographs and biographical material from the collection are available to view and purchase at the gallery, located at 115-117 First Street in Eaton, now through July 31.

Regular hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Other times are also available by appointment.
