Estes Valley Fire Services Task Force To Host 2nd Public Meeting

Public is Encouraged To Attend

The Estes Valley Fire Services Task Force will host the second public meeting on  September 18th at 7 p.m. in the Town Board Room in the Municipal Building. The Task Force will share with community members their progress to date and seek input from community members before the Task Force presents their final recommendations to the Town Board on fire service funding.

The Task Force was convened by the Town Board to investigate and provide recommendations for funding of fire services (that is fair and equitable) for the entire Estes Valley. Currently, residents who live within unincorporated Larimer County can pay a voluntary annual subscription fee for fire services.  If those residents chose not to pay the subscription fee they will be billed for services that are provided by the fire department, this includes those who live outside the Estes Valley. This is an opportunity for community members to share their views and suggestions with the Task Force before they submit their recommendations to the Town Board of Trustees.

The meeting will be held in the Town Board at Estes Park Town Hall. For additional questions please contact Lowell Richardson at lrichardson@estes.org or at 577-3707.
