Estes Park Unaffected by High Park Fire

Partly cloudy skies with a slight haze is all that Estes Park is experiencing from the High Park Fire west of Fort Collins, CO.

“The fire is a long way from Estes Park,” said Reagan Cloudman, spokesperson for Roosevelt and Arapahoe National Forests. As of Monday afternoon, winds were blowing the fire north of Fort Collins. Estes Park is about 43 miles southwest of that city.

“Our hearts and wishes go out to all those effected by the fire,” said Peggy Campbell, President and CEO of Visit Estes Park. “We’re praying for the safety of all who are risking the lives to protect the land.”
