Estes Park Repertoire Theatre Company “A Bad Year For Tomatoes” Ends This Weekend

Estes Park Repertoire Theatre Company’s “A Bad Year For Tomatoes” will be performed this Friday and Saturday, December 18th and 19h. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall. Advance tickets are available at Macdonald Book Shop.
“A Bad Year for Tomatoes” by John Patrick, deals with a famous actress, Myra Marlowe, who is fed up with the demands of her life, leaves Hollywood and moves to a tiny New England hamlet.
As she settles in and begins writing her autobiography she is suddenly having to deal with nosy, omnipresent neighbors.  She trys to shoo them away but failing to do this she creates a “mad, homicidal sister” who is locked in an upstairs room. The “mad” sister escapes long enough to scare off the uninvited visitors.  Complications develop including a handyman who falls in love with the “mad” sister and the sudden departure of the “sister” leading to a suspicion of murder and involvement by the local sheriff.
