Join local author Sybil Barnes as she shares slides from her new book, Estes Park, from the Images of America series. This presentation will be Saturday, October 23rd, at 2 p.m. at the Estes Park Museum. Sybil is a Colorado native whose family discovered Estes Park in 1940. Though she has tried to live elsewhere, the small town charm and mountain grandeur of Estes Park make her happy to claim it as home. Sybil returned to Estes in 1973 after graduation from the University of Texas.

Sybil has worked at the Rocky Mountain National Park library and Estes Park Public Library, focusing on local history. She has also served on the advisory board of the Estes Park Museum from 1987-2007. Her knowledge of the history and lore of Estes Park is extensive and she looks forward to sharing it with us at the Estes Park Museum.

The book contains a selection of photographs from Sybil’s favorite places and memories. Sybil hopes her passion for preserving and presenting the past will encourage others to share their Estes Park memories, whether they are from the last century or last week.

Books may be purchased at the Estes Park Museum Gift Shop. Sybil will autograph books after the presentation.
