Estes Park Free Shuttles Set Ridership Records

Town-Shuttle-RidresCooperative effort with YMCA brings World Council participants to town

The Town of Estes Park’s Free Shuttles set ridership records in June and on July 4th. Shuttle ridership for the month of June was 10,579 representing a 21% increase over June 2013. July 4th ridership saw an increase of 6.7% over last year for a record total of 3,481.

On Wednesday, July 2 the YMCA of the Rockies and the Town of Estes Park teamed up to bring YMCA World Council participants to downtown Estes Park. Approximately 550 people took advantage of the buses that assisted the Brown Route with direct service to Town Hall downtown.

Operating daily from through September 7, shuttles make it convenient for residents and visitors to leave their vehicles at a lodging facility, park-n-ride lot, or at home, and travel around town during the busy summer season. The 2014 shuttle system offers four new stops and an additional ADA accessible shuttle. The shuttles continue to feature real-time tracking. Passengers may determine actual arrival times by visiting the Town’s website at www.estes.org/shuttles and entering a five digit “stop code” for their location.
