Estes Park Area Bridge Project Open House
Larimer County’s Engineering Department will hold an Open House on Wednesday, September 24th, 2008, from 4-7p.m. to share information on the latest about two bridge construction projects west of the Town of Estes Park scheduled for construction during the winter and spring 2009. The projects are:
Mary’s Lake Road Bridge Over The Big Thompson River
The Mary’s Lake Road Bridge Project involves constructing a new two lane bridge as well as reconstructing and widening the roadway north to U.S. Highway 36. The bridge will be closed during construction. Traffic will be detoured around the project along Riverside Drive. Construction is currently scheduled from February through May of 2009.
Tunnel Road Bridge Over The Big Thompson River
The Tunnel Road Bridge Project involves replacing the concrete deck and reconstructing 100 feet of roadway at each end of the bridge. The work will be done on one half of the bridge at a time using signalized one way traffic to keep the bridge open during construction. Construction is currently scheduled from March through May of 2009.
The Open House takes place in the Hondius Room, Estes Park Public Library, 335 East Elkhorn Ave., Estes Park. There will be no formal presentation. You are welcome at anytime during the Open House meeting to come learn about the projects, view plans and schedules, discuss road closures and detours, and ask questions. If you are unable to attend the meeting and have questions, or need more information, please contact Ron Winne, Larimer County Engineering, Project Manager, (970) 498-5713, email@example.com.
