Estes Park’s Grand Ole Christmas Begins This Weekend

At Grand Ole Christmas this weekend and next weekend, there will be some good old fashioned fun for the entire family! Folks will enjoy holiday shopping galore, photos with Santa, free holiday movies at Reel Mountain Theater, strolling carolers and Christmas characters, a High Tea at the historic Crags Lodge, roasted chestnuts, horse-drawn carriage rides and entertainment galore.
Grand Ole Christmas is sponsored by the Estes Valley Historical Society.

Free Double Feature at Reel Mountain Theater-Children’s Christmas Classics will be shown on Sunday, Dec 6th beginning at 2:00 a double feature starting with “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” a brief intermission, and then “Frosty the Snowman.”

In conjunction with the annual Grand Ole Christmas celebration, organizers of the event are hosting a Gingerbread House drawing where you have the chance to win a beautiful and delicious hand decorated gingerbread house to add to your holiday decor.
The gingerbread houses are on display at the Stanley Museum and everyone is invited to come in and view the sweet gingerbread houses and purchase tickets to enter a drawing to win your favorite gingerbread house.
Tickets cost $1.00 each or six tickets for $5.00. The drawing will be held on December 13th at the end of Grand Ole Christmas and the winners will be notified to come claim their gingerbread house. Proceeds collected from the drawing will go to the Estes Valley Historical Society for their annual Heritage Festival and the Stanley Museum.
