I knew Rags in the ’70′s. Hiked Forest Canyon with him. We almost died of dehydration but had a great time. Enjoyed his trucking stories which probably had something to do with me eventually spending eight years on the road. He had a good heart.

Knew Rags through Greg and also loved hearing his stories about truckdriving on the road – he always had a name for the story – like the one where a truck in front of him lost “a fifty thousand pound pickle” (cucumbers} and what it was like driving over that. Greg also meant to mention he did visit us once in Idaho and helped Greg build our woodshed which still stands. He is someone I never forgot from the people we met in Estes Park. I liked him very much.
