Denver Broncos Caravan Tour Visits Estes Park
The Denver Broncos have announced the next three cities to be visited on the third annual Broncos Country Caravan. The 2012 Caravan features 9 major stops throughout Colorado during the summer. The second leg of the tour will kickoff Wednesday, June 13 in Estes Park, CO followed by visits to Greeley (6/14) and Longmont, CO (6/15). In May the Caravan visited 3 communities in southern Colorado (Trinidad, Pueblo and Cañon City) and will wrap up the 2012 Broncos Country Caravan by a western tour in July visiting 3 communities; the specific dates for the western tour are yet to be announced. The 2012 Broncos Country Caravan is sponsored by the Colorado Department of Transportation, Rocky Mountain Health Plans and U.S. Bank
Each caravan stop on the tour will include Denver Broncos Cheerleaders, Broncos alumni Mark Jackson and Vance Johnson and Miles the Mascot. Thunder, will also be making appearance in Greeley and Longmont. Through, school and hospital visits, appearances at sponsor retail locations and a city celebration, the Broncos are excited to connect with Broncos fans throughout Colorado.
“We’re very excited to bring this caravan to each of the nine cities in the coming months,” said Mac Freeman, Sr. Vice President of Business Development. “Broncos Country Caravan allows us to get out and thank our fans for their support and leave a lasting impression within each community. Spending a day in these communities who support us so passionately is extremely important to everyone in the Broncos organization.”
Each visit will culminate with a City Celebration that will be free and open to the public. Fans will meet the above personalities, see the Super Bowl trophies, play interactive games, win prizes and also take part in the Broncos Country flag signing. At each stop, one Broncos Country flag will be presented to the mayor of each town, and another will be signed by all those who attend the city celebration. That flag will be brought back and displayed at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Returning to the caravan for the second year is the Rocky Mountain Health Plans Combine, where fans will have a chance to participate in NFL combine activities such as the 40 yard dash, broad jump, and vertical jump. Fans can also sign a wellness pledge and enter to win a Broncos Dream Weekend or show their Rocky Mountain Health Plans member ID card to enter to win Broncos tickets. The Colorado Department of Transportation also has a booth encouraging fans to “Designate a Sober Driver” and “Buckle Up!” Make sure to visit their booth, try out the football toss and receive a mini football. U.S. Bank and 850 KOA will also be represented at each event.
